To celebrate the 1st anniversary of Nylon magazine’s Music Festival “Hear the Sound”, Nylon collaborated with celebrities and designers to create Limited Edition “Hear the Sound” t-shirts. The collaborations include Lee Hyo Ri and TOP GIRL, Yoon Eun Hye and BASIC HOUSE, Han Hyo Joo and Thursday Island, Park Ye Jin and JACK&JILL, Han Hye Jin and MAGNMAG, and Han and M.POLHAM. The limited edition t-shirts will be sold in stores with the proceeds used to sponsor hearing impaired children.

Actress Seo Ji Hye (24) is decked out in summer whites for Ceci Magazine. She played the role of sweet and spunky Sang Mi three years ago in the drama Over the Rainbow The drama which also starred Ji Hyun Woo from the band, The Nuts, Hwanhee from Fly to the Sky and Kim Ok Bin was about idol trainees. It wasn’t a ratings success but I think it’s an interesting look behind the scenes of trainees in the Kpop scene especially after all the recent news about harsh contract terms mandated by the entertainment companies.

Actress Uhm Ji Won (31) is featured in W Magazine’s July 2009 issue wearing several elegant dresses. Because they had her lying on a sofa in various awkward poses, it’s difficult to clearly see the luxurious dresses made of silk, satin, chiffon, crystals and even feathers. Although I’m wondering if the dress with the feathers might make her look like an ostrich if she posed standing up. The pale face with pink eye shadow and light lips make her seem a bit vampirish in some of the pictures. Eroticism is an odd title for the fashion layout. Hmm… maybe lost in translation.

Choi Kang Hee in Marie Claire

Choi Kang Hee (32) appears in Marie Claire magazine this month. In a moody black and white fashion spread, she dons both androgynous and classic feminine looks. My two favorite looks are the black one shoulder dress by Loewe with elbow length gloves reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the slouchy black pantsuit by Bottega Veneta paired with the metallic sneakers by Lanvin. I also think the giant Swarovski necklace is a bold statement piece for the daring fashionista. The Chanel outfit at the end is my least favorite. Individually the pieces could work, but together it’s confusingly horrid.

Choi Kang Hee plays the title role in the upcoming movie, Aeja, a 29 year old single woman who dreams of being a novelist. In the comedy, Aeja’s mother tries to marry off her immature daughter. Bae Soo Bin who recently completed the role of Jun Se in Brilliant Legacy plays her boyfriend. Enjoy the short trailer at the end of the post.
